Alpha Xi Delta

Theta Eta at Western Michigan University

A Letter From Our Philanthropy Vice President

Hello,

My name is Krista Dorst and I am the Philanthropy Vice President of Theta Eta. This past year, Alpha Xi Delta has been in transition and has been supporting the Kindly Hearts Campaign. We focused on service and fundraising to support our communities in some of the areas most directly affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. Theta Eta specifically partnered up with Kids' Food Basket, whose focus is to meet the needs of every child and family they serve. Their goal is to create a hunger-free West Michigan.

We are very excited to be shifting in the fall from the temporary Kindly Hearts Campaign to our new long-term philanthropy, the Kindly Hearts Initiative. This initiative will focus on supporting children experiencing foster care or homelessness. Alpha Xi Delta believes that every child deserves love and support, so we will be focusing on providing the needs and support resources to local communities across the country. Theta Eta will be supporting our community with the same, fan-favorite events we've always held by challenging fellow Western Michigan University students to participate in our Football FrenXI tournament in the Fall, and by holding our male pageant in search of our Xi Man in the spring. My chapter and I are proud to be taking a step in the right direction and to be starting on a clean slate to support children who need our help. We are ready to make a difference.

Sincerely,

Krista Dorst
